Justin Trout is an entrepreneur and built his Health-Ade Kombucha product with “a credit card and a dream.” He is the co-founder of Health-Ade Kombucha, the fastest growing Kombucha brand in the country. Back in 2012, Justin, his wife Dinah and their partner Vanessa hit the farmers markets of Los Angeles to introduce their home brew. Now their Health-Ade product is on supermarket shelves across the country.

He shares his company’s “origin story” about how he partnered with his wife who oversees the vision of Health-Ade, and their third partner Vanessa over sees the company’s sales and distribution. Originally the team tried to farm Kombucha Scobi’s to cure hair loss. But Justin and his team pivoted their idea to farm a Kombucha as a home brew.

We first met their team at the Brentwood Farmer’s Market years ago, and we’re thrilled they have turned this company into something special. Justin calls The Farmer’s Market the “best business school,” for building his company. Justin also explains his story on working as an entrepreneur in the modern economy. Justin believes that being an entrepreneur is using “every single tactic you can image to bend reality to your will.”
